IIT, Hyderabad is a co-ed university which offers multiple undergraduate courses like B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computational Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; and B.Des (Bachelor of Design). Students willing to take admitted to IIT, Hyderabad must qualify for the JEE- Main Examination. Most importantly, candidates should have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects in their higher secondary. The final admission process is totally merit-based.

Admission Procedure
Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad conducts an online admission procedure. The students are required to qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE-Main) Examination after the completion of 10+2 examinations with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects in their higher secondary. The final admission will be provided on the basis of merits scored by the individual.
In addition, IIT Hyderabad also offers Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Arts (M.A) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. Students with a B.Sc., B.E., or B.Tech. degree, or one equivalent, from an accredited university and admission, will be based on a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score for the M.Tech program. Candidates may be required to take a written test and/or an interview if they meet the shortlisting cutoff. The candidates should have a valid e Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) score and a minimum of 55% marks for the M.Des course. A valid score in Joint Admission Admission Test for Master (JAM) will be conducted for M.Sc admission.
Faculty
With 252 full time faculty, the students are provided with the best teaching facilities at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. The teachers are experienced and are board members to several institutions. The non-teaching faculty members are equally determined to make the learning experiences of the students worthwhile.

The Office of Career Services, Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad assist students with exposure and training from the second year onwards. Students are given various internship opportunities as well as an opportunity to attend webinars and workshops for skills development. The Office of Career Services also organises and manages very successful placement drives.
