Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata's campus provides a variety of modern infrastructure and facilities for the student's convenience and to enhance their social and academic experiences. The IISER Kolkata library houses a large collection of printed and digital materials to facilitate learning and research, including online databases, e-journals, e-books, and archived and print journals.
Students' accommodation is provided in three fully furnished hostels with common rooms, namely - The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Hall, The Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Hall, and The Nivedita Hall. Students can gain a practical understanding of the disciplines by utilising fully equipped laboratories with modern facilities such as a CHN Analyzer, DigitalPolarimeter (Rudolph), Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization (MALDI), Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), Micro-calorimeter (GE), NMR Spectrometer, and others.
The entire campus of IISER Kolkata is Wi-Fi enabled, and the classrooms are spacious and well-equipped. A virtual classroom/e-classroom has been set up as an application to utilize the high-speed connection provided by the National Knowledge Network. The Ramanujan virtual classroom can deliver and receive interactive high-definition video classes via the internet from anywhere in the world. A well-maintained mess serves hygienic food items to the students. For a variety of cultural and formal functions, a large auditorium is available. IISER Kolkata medical committee offers medical reimbursement schemes covering all the students and faculties. A resident doctor is also provided by the committee. The Mind Care and Wellness centre are available as an additional facility where skilled psychotherapists, clinical psychologists and counsellors strive towards making the lives of the students better.
