Admission Procedure
The Indian Institute of Information and Technology, Guwahati conducts its admission according to the norms of the University Grants Commission. The students interested in seeking admission at IIIT Guwahati can apply through the official website of the institute. The selection of the applicants for the undergraduate courses in engineering is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board along with the merits secured by the students in their Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Mains.
The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant engineering or science subject discipline from a recognised university along with the merits secured by the applicants in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. For the doctoral degree courses, the selection of applicants is made according to the merits secured by the students in their postgraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university.
