IIS deemed-to-be University, formerly known as International College for Girls, is a private institution in Jaipur, Rajasthan for women’s education. First established in 1995, IIS aims to provide the finest education to women, and promote and further their professional careers through academic excellence. IIS aims to groom young female students into dynamic, charismatic professionals on a global scale. IIS has been approved by the UGC and has also been given the CPE status (College with Potential for Excellence) status by the UGC. IIS offers a wide range of 3-year-long Undergraduate courses in the fields of Science, Commerce and Humanities. The UG departments include Environmental & Life Sciences, Home Science, Chemical Science, Management, Education, Social Sciences, Fashion & Textiles, Languages & Mass Communication, and Computer Science And Information Technology.
The admission procedure for IIS is conducted online. All applicants wishing to pursue an undergraduate program are required to appear for IIS’ entrance examination called the IISU-CET. Therefore, all admissions depend on the applicant’s performance on the IISU-CET. However, prior to applying for the exam, the university sets minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education.
IIS also offers a range of scholarships and financial aid opportunities based on merit, and need and even to those with exemplary records in sports and extra-curricular activities. To incentivise and encourage students to attain the highest academic performance, the university offers financial aid in the form of Freeships, Scholarships, and Fellowships, as well as Endowment Prizes. Scholarships include the IISU Freeship Scheme, IISU Scholarship Scheme, IISU Fellowship, IISU Merit Scholarship, Scholarship for Elite Sportspersons, Scholarship for Excellence in Extracurricular and Co-curricular Activities, and a variety of other Endowment Awards.
In terms of placements, IIS has a well-functioning Training and Counseling Cell aimed at career counselling, guidance, and aiding and facilitating students’ careers. Besides organizing placement fairs and events, the cell also curates insightful talks and sessions on career prospects, delivered by eminent industry experts. IIS has also established a plethora of career and skill development courses catering to varied fields and interests of students. Graduates of IIS have found themselves in organizations such as Deloitte, Genpact, Barclays, Mindtree, Wipro, HCL, BMW, and Bank of America, among others.
IIS has a revered list of 220+ member faculty and is centred around innovative pedagogy and activity-based classroom teaching. In terms of infrastructure, IIS is one of the largest institutions in Jaipur, located in the green and peaceful area of Mansarovar, a nexus with proximity to all necessary facilities and amenities. The campus includes many seminar halls, auditoriums, laboratories, ICT-enabled fully air-conditioned classrooms, and a video-production studio. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with an internet bandwidth of 360 MBPS.
The campus is equipped with playgrounds, courts, an indoor sports room, a health club (gym and yoga centre), swimming pool in order to promote the physical development, mental growth and spiritual well-being of the students. The university has an infirmary that includes a Homeopathic Physician, a nurse, and an ambulance service for any and all medical needs. Additionally, the university has a partnership with a local hospital, which allows for convenient and quick evaluation and treatment as needed. They also provide free health check-ups.
There are three cafeteria options available to students and staff at IIS Aanchal Dining Lounge, Amul Kiosk, and Cafe Coffee Day. IIS also has in place a transportation facility with a fleet of 47 buses, an in-house community Radio Station (CRS)FM7 on air at 90.4 MHz FM, a stationary shop, and an on-campus 24*7 ATM.
IIS features three centrally air-conditioned hostels: 'Aanchal,' 'Vasundhara,' and IIS Kshipra Path. IIS strives to provide high-quality vegetarian food and a well-maintained and welcoming environment. Admission to the hostels is based on merit and need, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission Procedure
IIS (Deemed to be University)’s admissions are conducted online. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements and submit the duly filled-in Application Form through the admission portal. While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognized board of secondary education. For all the undergraduate programmes, admission will be based on a national-level common entrance test, which is called IISU-CET.

Placements
IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur has a full-fledged Training Placement and Counseling Cell that is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of career counselling, career counselling, and job opportunities for its students. Representatives from major multi-national companies and other recognised educational institutions visit the University not only to inform students about the many courses and careers available but also to select and train them for the necessary job skills. Deloitte, Genpact, Barclays, Mindtree, and others are common recruiters.
