ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University, Nagaland (IUN) is a private university situated in Sovima village, Dimapur, Nagaland. ICFAI University, Nagaland was instituted in the year 2006 under the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) University Nagaland Act, 2006. IU, Nagaland is headed by chancellor V.R.K. Prasad and vice-chancellor Arun Kumar Varma.
The ICFAI University Nagaland campus hosts a variety of academic and sports facilities to facilitate the all-around development of its students. There are well-equipped classrooms accommodated with modern teaching aids, state-of-the-art laboratories, spacious seminar halls, and a well-equipped library housing a plethora of books and e-library digital reading materials. The campus is wi-fi enabled and comprises well-developed volleyball and cricket grounds. Undergraduate degrees offered by IUN include B.A., B.A. (Hons.), B.B.A., B.Com., and B.Com. (Hons.), and B.C.A.
ICFAI also offers several postgraduate and doctoral programmes across a variety of specialisations such as M.A., MBA, M. Com, M.Lib.I.Sc, and B.Lib.I.Sc. There are nine faculties on campus for management science, basic and applied sciences, humanities, social sciences, management science, basic and applied sciences, humanities, social sciences, and faculty resources. Candidates have to mandatorily complete their 10+2 examinations in the relevant streams with a minimum aggregate of 40% marks to be eligible for undergraduate courses. The eligibility criteria for master's programmes are completing graduation in the relevant stream with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates will be selected based on a screening process assessing their academic records, accolades and awards acquired in sports and cultural events, and involvement in extra-curricular activities like quizzes, debates, and adventure sports. The university organises various cultural and extra-curricular activities, some of which include the IUN Fest for literary and cultural events, games, and sports, a management fest, the English department’s drama club programmes, social meets, cultural celebrations, and departmental workshops and seminars. IU, Nagaland also hosts several clubs catering to various student interests and hobbies such as a music club, a photography club, a forum for cultural studies symposium for holistic health (FoCuS), a green club, an entrepreneurship cell, etc.
IU, Nagaland boasts an efficient training and placement wing which oversees all training and recruitment activities of students. The T&P wing is composed of senior professionals and placement executives who create and maintain the university’s links with the industry and supervise summer internships and final-year placements. The training and placement cell organises various workshops and seminars for students before placements besides inviting eminent recruiters to campus placement programmes. IU, Nagaland has recorded exemplary placement records over the years. Internship programmes aim to equip students with real application skills applicable across a variety of scenarios in an attempt to bridge the gap between the professional and academic worlds. Admission Procedure
ICFAI University Nagaland,(co-ed) offers a variety of undergraduate programmes like BBA, B.Com, BCA, and B.A. (Hons). To be eligible for UG courses, the candidate must have completed Class XII with an aggregate of 40% or higher (any discipline). Candidates with strong mathematical skills will be given preference for the BCA course. IUN also offers postgraduate courses such as M.A., MBA, M. Com, M.Lib.I.Sc, and B.Lib.I.Sc. Those having at least 45% marks at the degree level in the relevant discipline are considered eligible to apply for M.A, whereas candidates with 45% marks in any Bachelor's degree can apply for MBA, and candidates with a Bachelors degree in Library and Information Science with at least 45%-50% marks can apply for M.Lib.I.Sc and B.Lib.I.Sc.
The selection of applicants for the other programmes is dependent on meeting the eligibility criteria established through application screening. Academic excellence, accolades, and awards in sports, cultural events, and extra-curricular activities such as debates, quizzes, and adventure sports are also given due weightage. Following the interview process, the admission decision will be conveyed. All applicants who meet the selection requirements will be granted provisional admission, subject to document verification and fee payment at the time of registration.

The placement department engages with prospective recruiters, organises pre-placement seminars and workshops, and offers visiting firms with the necessary facilities.
