ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University, Jharkhand (IU Jharkhand) is a private university situated in Ranchi, Jharkhand. IU Jharkhand was established in 2008 under the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act of 2006 (Jharkhand Act 08, 2007), subsection 2 of section 4. It is a University Grants Commission (UGC)-approved institution conferred with a “deemed to be university” status.

IU Jharkhand is located on a suburban campus in Ranchi. The campus houses state-of-the-art facilities which include AV-aided classrooms, a well-equipped library, state-of-the-art laboratories for various subjects and disciplines, workshops, a moot court, and an auditorium with a maximum seating capacity of 500. The campus has sports and recreational facilities in the form of courts and fields for cricket, and badminton, a recreation room, and an indoor games room for carrom and chess. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled and also has a cafeteria and basic medical emergency facilities available on campus.
IUJ offers undergraduate degrees such as B.Tech. (general and lateral entry), B.B.A., B.Com., B.C.A. (general and DS and AI), B.B.A.-L.L.B. (Hons.) Integrated, B.A.-L.L.B. (Hons.) Integrated, and an L.L.B. Program.

The college also has a training and placement wing which oversees all training and placement activities. The t&p wing is composed of senior professionals and placement executives who supervise summer internship programmes and final recruitment and placement opportunities for students.
Admissions into IU Jharkhand are conducted based on entrance examinations applicable to each stream. Candidates will be admitted into law courses based on their CLAT or LSAT scores, while B. Tech. and polytechnic courses admit students based on a university-conducted written examination. Academic records, awards and accolades in sports and cultural events, and extra-curricular involvements in activities like quizzes, debates, and adventure sports are also given due weightage. The final admission decision will be based on an interview process with the college administration. The IU Jharkhand also provides financial aid in the form of merit scholarships premised on candidates’ previous academic records.

Admission Procedure

The ICFAI University, Jharkhand offers a variety of educational programmes(regular mode) in management, finance, banking, insurance, accounting, law, information technology, arts, commerce, engineering, and science and technology. B.Tech, BBA, B.Com (Hons), BBA-LL.B, B.A-LL.B, LL.B, and MBA are among the courses available at Bachelor's and Master's levels. Scores from the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) will be evaluated for admission to law degree. According to University regulations, candidates for the B.Tech and Polytechnic programme must take a written exam.
The selection of applicants for the other UG programmes is dependent on meeting the eligibility criteria established through application screening. Academic excellence, accolades, and awards in sports, cultural events, and extra-curricular activities such as debates, quizzes, and adventure sports are also given due weightage. Following the interview process, the admission decision will be conveyed. All applicants who meet the selection requirements will be granted provisional admission, subject to document verification and fee payment at the time of registration.

Scholarships

The ICFAI University, Jharkhand provides "Merit Scholarships" based on previous academic performance. The amount of scholarship will be determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The scholarship amount can be deducted from the semester fee.
