ICFAI University (ICFAIU), Tripura was established in 2004 on a sprawling 32-acre campus at Kamalghat, Sadar, Tripura West. IU, Tripura's mission is to provide world-class, innovative, career-oriented professional postgraduate and undergraduate programmes through integrated technology-aided teaching methods that empower students with the necessary professional and life skills, as well as social and ethical sensitivity. IU, Tripura seeks to create an intellectually exciting atmosphere for research, especially in fields relevant to the state's and nation's cultural and socioeconomic development.
IU, Tripura offers 26 undergraduate (UG), 1 integrated, 2 diploma (DIP), 1 postgraduate diploma (PG DIP), 19 postgraduate (PG), and 16 doctorate (PhD) courses. The UG degrees offered are as follows: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Bachelor of Computer Applications; B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; B.Sc in Emergency Medical Technology, Medical Lab Technology, Cardiac Care Technology, and Dialysis Therapy Technology; Bachelor in Health Information Management; B.Com (Hons); BBA; BA LLB (Hons); BBA LLB (Hons); and BA (Hons) in English and Psychology; B.Ed; B.Ed in Special Education; Bachelor of Physical Education; Bachelor of Physical Education And Sports; Bachelor of Library and Information Science; and Auxiliary Midwife Nursing. The integrated course that students can pursue is Bachelor and Master of Computer Application. The two diploma courses are in Physical Education and Special Education.
IU, Tripura is recognised by the University Grants Commission and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE), Distance Education Bureau (DEB), and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Classes are conducted by highly experienced faculty members to strive to kindle the fire of inquisitiveness among the students.
The internship and recruitment of students are facilitated by the Training and Placement Wing of IU Tripura, with companies such as Tata Trust, Central Bank of India, ICICI Bank, TCS, YES Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of India, Wipro, Tata Motor Finance, ILS Hospitals, Muthoot Finance, Cipla Limited, Airtel, Vodafone, Accenture, Apollo Tyres, Aztech Software, Biocon, BARC, CISCO Systems, Cognizant, Crompton Greaves, Google India, Honeywell, HCL Technologies, IBM India, Infosys, and many more providing employment to the students.
IU, Tripura provides all the necessary infrastructure to ensure the holistic development of young scholars. IU, Tripura Library has a large collection of printed texts as well as provides access to digital and e-journals such as Manupatra, EVSCO, Shodshindhu, JSTOR, etc. Hostel accommodations are provided to both male and female students, with a capacity of 600 boarders in all. IU, Tripura has provisions for outdoor as well as indoor games like football, cricket, basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, carrom and chess. The Campus also sports a fully-equipped indoor gymnasium and a recreation room with yoga facilities. IU, Tripura has multiple courses specific specialised laboratories with cutting-edge technology, including an English Lab and a Soft Skills Lab. IU, Tripura Campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and has a cafeteria, Medical Units, seminar halls, auditorium and moot courts for the students to avail. Shuttle services are also provided to students, subject to additional fees.

B.Tech - Eligible candidates who have passed their 10+2 board examinations and have secured a valid rank in ICFAI University, Tripura Admission Test (IUTAT) or Joint Entrance Examination main (JEE Mains) or Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) or any other state government entrance examination can apply for ICFAI University, Tripura post which a screening process will be held based on merit as well as extra-curricular activities and the admission decisions will be finalized after an interview process and verification of required documents.
BA LL.B (Hons.), BBA LL.B (Hons.) - Eligible candidates who have passed their 10+2 board examinations and have secured a valid rank in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or any other state or national level entrance examination can apply for IU, Tripura post which a screening process will be held based on merit as well as extra-curricular activities and the admission decisions will be finalized after an interview process and verification of required documents.
B.Ed / Diploma programs in Education / Special Education - Eligible candidates who have graduated can apply for IU, Tripura post which a screening process will be held based on merit as well as extra-curricular activities and the admission decisions will be finalized after an interview process and verification of required documents.
