ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia (IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia) was established in 2011 with a vision of imparting education among the students. IIMSAR and BCRHH with recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliation with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) provides undergraduate degree courses in medicine and surgery.

The students of IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia are provided with excellent faculty support. Highly qualified doctors with immense experience in the medical field provide students with hands-on learning. A multispeciality hospital is located within the campus of IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia. The hospital with facilities in ICU, ICCU, NICU, ITU, and OPD operates 24X7. It is well-equipped with all possible diagnostic facilities like Radiography, Pathology, Digital X-rays, Colonoscopy and many more. The hospital is backed by experienced doctors, nurses and paramedic staff. Along with the hospital, the college campus has the facility of course-specific labs that are equipped with modernised machinery, and apparatus intended for the student's proper understanding of the practical-oriented form of study.

The IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia campus has a library that is well-equipped with subject-related textbooks, reference books, journals, periodicals and other academic resources. For the convenience of the students, IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia provides hostel facilities. IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia campus also has an auditorium, a seminar hall and a cafeteria along the campus.

For admissions in the UG course, a candidate must pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks and individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. The selection of admission is solely based on a candidate's performance in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET examination). Admission for the courses is made per the counselling procedure.

Candidates who want to apply to ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia can do so by applying at the official website of IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia. For admissions for the UG course of MBBS, a candidate must be of a minimum age of 17 years. The candidate must pass the higher secondary examination or a 10+2 relevant examination from a recognised education council with a minimum of 50% marks and individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. The admission procedure of the various departments of IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia will solely be based on a candidate's performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates qualifying for the NEET examination can apply to the college through counseling.

IIMSAR and BCRH Haldia also offer post-graduate degrees MD / MS with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. For their PG degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate with valid marks.
