Besides the worthy educational environment, Horticulture College and Research Institute, Periyakulam is promising also with respect to its infrastructure and comfortability. The classrooms are clean, well-maintained, and fully furnished. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled.
As print resources, 12163 books are available in the Library while the digital library comprises 1780 e-books and e-journals. The library is equipped with AC, free Wi-Fi, and computers.
The undergraduates are provided with six hostels, while PG Students are provided with a Reading room, TV Hall, Fitness room, Sickroom, and Guest room. On campus, separate dorms for boys and girls offer nice lodging. The rooms can accommodate three or four people.
Computer labs are fully air-conditioned browsing centers, there are 30 PCs. The computers in the surfing center have a Linux server, Wi-Fi, and Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, Oracle, C, and C++ installed. For clinical support, three rooms are allotted— an outpatient room, a pharmacy, and a ward with restrooms.
First Aid is provided to ensure the complete emergency care of the Students, staff, and workers. A routine health care checkup data sheet screening is carried out once a month as the health care documentation.
There is one carrom court as an indoor game. A gymnasium with modern equipment is provided to meet the need for fitness. Cricket, badminton, and kabbadi courts are available alongside one volleyball court and one basketball court. A national standard running track is also provided inside the campus.
