Hooghly Women's College, Hooghly (HWC, Hooghly) is an illustrious landmark in the preterite of Women's Education in the district and also in West Bengal. It is one of the trailblazer women's colleges and the sixth academic institution in Hooghly affiliated with the University of Burdwan.
In 1949, HWC, Hooghly started its academic journey and since then has consistently strived hard in the act of imparting education among women irrespective of caste creed and religion for 60 years. HWC, Hooghly offers only undergraduate degrees under various specialized courses in the field of liberal arts and science. Hooghly Women's College in Hooghly offers a variety of courses including B.A (Hons), B.A (General), B.Sc (Hons), and B.Sc (General). Following Burdwan University norms all candidates are required to have at least 45% in aggregate at the 10+2 level. In addition, they must obtain the required minimum marks in the relevant and/or related subjects. For admission to HWC, Hooghly, students must complete an online application form. Admission to all undergraduate courses is based solely on merit.
