Admission Procedure
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai conducts ints admission process according to the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council of Technological Education (AICTE). The selections of the candidates for the undergraduate degree courses in engineering admissions are made according to the merits secured by the candidates in the 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognised board and scores obtained in the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE). The selection of candidates for the undergraduate course in Architecture is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board along with the merits secured by the applicants in their National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examinations or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Candidates interested in taking admission to the undergraduate law courses, need to have a valid Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score. Shortlisted candidates are then called in for a group discussion/personal interview.
For the postgraduate degree courses the selection of the applicants are made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognized university
