Heritage Law College (HLC), located in Kolkata, was established in 2015 with a view towards creating a hub of knowledge for students in the legal field. Serving society by providing efficient lawyers is their major goal. It is a government-run university that is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. Besides, the HLC Kolkata has also been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as well.
A group of specialist professionals guide students with excellent academic excellence and practical knowledge. Moot court facilities provide them with opportunities to get practical experience for the future. HLC Kolkata is a co-ed institution that offers undergraduate courses of B.A.LL.B with a duration of 5 years. HLC Kolkata holds a merit-based admission process. Students willing to take admission have to qualify for the Entrance Examination conducted by the University of Calcutta. Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary examination with a minimum of 45% overall marks (40% in the case of S.C., S.T., and P.H.).
To enhance the learning experience of students, the HLC Kolkata holds a traditional library having a lot of books, national and international journals, and periodicals; a digital library with E-resources; and a computer lab. Apart from this, the HLC Kolkata has a moot court with a capacity of 60 students, transportation services, on-campus WIFI access, a post office, an on-campus ATM, medical facilities, and a cafeteria for providing hygienic food.

Admission Procedure
Heritage Law College, Kolkata conducts an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in the course of Bachelor of Laws based on the merit list created on the basis of the Entrance Examination administered by the University of Calcutta. To be eligible for admission to the BA LL.B. course, applicants must successfully complete the H.S. (10+2 level) examination with a minimum of 45% (40 % in the case of S.C., S.T., and P.H.) overall marks (taking into account the best of 4 papers excluding WBCHSE Environment Science); after achieving this requirement, candidates are allowed to take the entrance exam. However, the ultimate admission to the BA LL.B course will be conditional upon passing the (10+2 level) Examination and the entrance test conducted by Calcutta University, at the time of admissions counselling.
