Admission Procedure
At Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Kolkata, the admission procedure is conducted through the Admission Cell. Candidates willing to take admission have to apply through the official website of GNIT. Additionally, students are provided with one-to-one integrated career counselling. To be eligible to get admission to B.Tech courses at GNIT Kolkata, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent exam from a recognized board and they have to qualify for any of the three entrances: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) / Joint Entrance Examination (JEE -MAIN) / Common Entrance Examination AMPAI (CEE-AMPAI). In the case of Diploma courses, applicants must have 35% marks in Madhyamik or equivalent exam and they must qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic West Bengal (JEXPO) entrance exam.
GNIT, Kolkata also offers post-graduate degrees in MCA / M. Tech in various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their website, to apply for their degree candidates must qualify for basic admission criteria. For an MCA degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination WBJECA with valid marks. And for an M.tech degree candidate must qualify GATE entrance examination. Final admission is based on merit basis.
