Guru Nanak College (GNC), Chennai was founded in the year 1971 at Velachery, South Chennai, on the 500th Birth Anniversary of the founder of the Sikh Religion, Guru Nanak Devji. GNC Chennai started its journey of imparting education with a motto of “Benefit for all”, functioning like a non-minority institution to serve the majority community irrespective of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Affiliated to the University of Madras, GNC Chennai conducts multiple undergraduate postgraduates, and research programs offering a total of 36 regular courses for almost every stream including Science, Arts, and Commerce followed by unbiased unreserved discipline. The lush green 25-acre campus, situated between the Raj Bhavan and the campus of the IIT-Madras provides its students with all kinds of amenities and aids in the pursuit of knowledge. Guru Nanak College, Chennai follows both online and offline methods of admission. GNC mainly selects candidates based on their merit and eligibility. Applicants for the degree courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination from any recognized Board. Applicants from other countries must present a regular, long-term student visa issued by the appropriate Indian Embassy.
