Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU New Delhi), located in New Delhi was founded in 1998 to serve society at large by developing efficient professionals in various disciplines such as engineering, technology, medicine, education, pharmacy, nursing and law. GGSIU New Delhi is an autonomous university which has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Medical Council of India (MCI).
Students are taught by a well-experienced faculty consisting of dedicated members, both teaching and non-teaching staff. Medical Technology, Radiotherapy; Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery; Bachelor of Dental Surgery; Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery; Bachelors Degree in Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery; Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP). A few dual degrees are also offered like B.Tech./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Bio-Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
To be eligible for admission at the GGSIU New Delhi, students are required to qualify for their Higher Secondary Examinations from any recognised board. Depending on the selection criteria, students have to appear for the CUET, NEET, CLAT, NATA, CAT and CET for various disciplines. The admission is totally merit-based.
A range of merit-based scholarships is available for students. Apart from this, students belonging to financially backward sections are provided with various scholarships enhancing their opportunities to learn at the university.
Students are assisted with internship opportunities by the placement cell. All the pre-placement activities are arranged by the dedicated cell. Students are recruited both in and out of the state. Top recruiters like TATA, Flipkart and many more take part in placement drives conducted by the cell.
Basic academic amenities provided by the GGSIU New Delhi include a vast traditional library, a digital library, fully furnished department-specific labs, smart classrooms, a moot court and a spacious auditorium. Apart from this, the GGSIU New Delhi also has medical facilities, a cricket field and a cafeteria for providing hygienic food to students.

Admission Procedure
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts an online admission procedure. The students (co-ed) are to qualify for their Higher Secondary Examinations from any recognised board after which they are required to qualify for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for applying in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS courses, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for applying in BBA LL.B and B.A. LL.B courses, National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for applying to B.Arch course, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for applying in any specialization under B.Tech course, Common Eligibility Test (CET) for other courses like BOT, BPT, B.Pharm, B.Sc, etc. courses and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED)/ Common Eligibility Test (CET)/ Design Aptitude Test by the National Institute of Design (NID DAT)/ Aptitude exam of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT-Aptitude Exam) for applying in B.Des programmes. The students will be provided with final admission on the basis of merits scored in total.
Common Admission Test (CAT) and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) will be used to determine all MBA admissions. The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) Merit will be the basis for all MCA admissions. Candidates seeking admission to LLM courses are required to appear in the Common Law Admission Test – Postgraduate (CLAT-PG). A potential student for the Doctor of Medicine / Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) programme must be eligible for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) and submit a direct application to the admissions office.B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science or any engineering subject with a minimum of 60% or equivalent marks and a valid and qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score is required for admission to the M.tech programme. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for M.Sc. and M.A. courses. The merit of the written exam or Common Entrance Test (CET) will be used to determine admission.

The teaching faculty engages in interactive sessions with their students to help them progress in their academic degrees and related courses.

The placement cell of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University helps the students to secure internships and training. Such training facilities help the students to improve their skills. The placement cell helps the students to secure good packages. The students are placed both in and out of the state.
