Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad offers postgraduate, and doctorate courses under the branches of Doctorate of Medicine (DM) with two specialisations, Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) with two specialisations, Doctor of Medicine (MD) with five specialisations, Master of Science (M.Sc) with two specialisations and Doctor Philosophy (Ph.D) in Life Science.

Candidates seeking admission into MD courses must complete their MBBS degree from a recognized University and attain the required marks/grades in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG).

Candidates seeking admission into M.Ch and DM courses must complete their MD or MS degree from a recognized University and attain the required marks/grades in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Super Speciality Courses (NEET-SS).

Candidates seeking admission into M. Sc courses must complete their B. Sc degree with relevant subjects from a recognized University and for Ph.D degree the students are required to have a master's degree in relevant subject from a recognized University.
