Government Home Science College, Chandigarh houses a well-stocked air-conditioned library with a vast collection of resources for serving educational and academic requirements. The library consists of printed resources such as 32000 books, 7000 reference books, 25000 available books, 7000 magazines, 32 Journals, 31 Newspapers, and 200 CDs. 6247 E-Journals and 93809 E-books can be accessed through INFLIBNET & OPAC facility.
Sports infrastructure available includes 200 athletic tracks, a football field, a wooden badminton court, volleyball court. The multipurpose gymnasium hall is provided with facilities for table tennis, chess, and yoga session. For recreational purposes, a wooden badminton court, netball court, and kho-kho court have been provided.
Clean and spacious canteen providing nutritious, hygienic and delicious food at affordable rates. A hostel has been provided with mess facilities. Among others, there is the modern air-conditioned auditorium and well-equipped and aesthetically designed labs (Food Science Lab, Biochemistry Lab, M. Sc Food labs, Institutional Food Administration Laboratory, CAD Laboratory, Textile Testing Laboratory, Pattern Making Laboratory, Knitting Laboratory, Dyeing Laboratory, Garment Construction Laboratory, Printing Laboratory, Computer Lab with CAD Software TukaCAD and Tuka Studio, Corel Draw, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Rich Peace Fashion & Textile Designing Studio).
Several smart classrooms and spacious lecture theatres are there with adequate seating capacities. A nurse is available on the campus 24X7 for any kind of medical aid.
