Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata (GCAC Kolkata) is one of India's oldest and most prestigious art education institutions. GCAC Kolkata which has a 157-year history, has long been a center of intellectual distinction. GCAC Kolkata is a co-educational educational institution that is connected to the University of Calcutta. For its undergraduate programs, the college currently uses the Choice-Based Credit System (C.B.C.S.).

GCAC Kolkata is the only college of fine arts in the nation to provide a focused study in Indian painting. GCAC Kolkata has a dedicated and trained faculty. GCAC Kolkata offers BFA and MFA degrees. For BFA admission at GCAC Kolkata candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for MFA admission at GCAC Kolkata candidates must pass a bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

GCAC Kolkata is situated on 1.58 acres of environmentally friendly property and is close to the Indian Museum in Kolkata's (previously Calcutta's) historic Chowringhee neighborhood. It is easily accessible by bus, taxi, and underground metro line. The Indian Museum, Asiatic Society, Victoria Memorial, Academy of Fine Arts, Rabindra Sadan, St. Paul's Cathedral, Birla Planetarium, Maidan, Park Street, and New Market are all within walking distance of the campus. GCAC Kolkata is a vibrant setting for the exchange of ideas and creative endeavors.

GCAC Kolkata also provides a range of facilities for its students. It has an in-house canteen serving delicious meals for the students and staff, along with several common rooms for relaxation. There is also a small playground within the premises, providing an opportunity for the students to take a break from their studies and engage in physical activity.

Admission Procedure
