Government College, Kasaragod (GC Kasaragod) was established by the Government of Kerala in 1957 to contribute to the need for education in the underprivileged areas of Kerala. Later on, through performing excellently in the field of education it reached the height of eminence and got acclaimed with national recognition.

Under the affiliation of Kannur University, GC Kasaragod offers 14 undergraduate courses, 8 postgraduate courses and 6 Ph.D. programmes across the fields of Liberal Arts and Science. GC Kasaragod follows an online admission procedure under the guidelines provided by Kannur University.

Admission Procedure

Government College, Kasaragod offers admission to students in programmes like as UG, PG and Ph.D with various specializations. The students must clear their Bachelor's degree with the required scores in order to apply to postgraduate programmes (MA, M.Sc) and 10+2 examinations with qualifying scores to apply for the undergraduate courses (BA, B.Sc). Final admission will be provided on the basis of merits scored in total.
