Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajahmundry (GIET Rajahmundry), was established in 1998 on a sprawling 300-acre Campus beside National Highway 16 in Chaitanya Nagar, Rajamundry. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GIET Rajamundry offers 11 undergraduate (UG) and 11 postgraduate (PG) courses for students to pursue. The UG courses are for the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), while the PG courses are for Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Applied Management (MAM), and Master of Technology Management (MTM). Admission to GIET Rajamundry is based on merit.

The Placement Cell at GIET Rajamundry oversees all related activities, and students get placed in companies such as Hyundai, Cognizant, Wipro, Hexaware, and many more.
Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rajahmundry, strives to provide the best available infrastructural support for the all-round development of students. The Library at GIET Rajamundry has an extensive collection of books, journals and periodicals, as well as a digital section providing members access to a host of e-resources. Students are provided hostel accommodations separately for boys and girls at GIET Rajamundry, with necessary amenities. Recognising the importance of an active lifestyle for students, GIET Rajamundry has provisions for various outdoor and indoor games. Regular classes at GIET Rajamundry take place in spacious classrooms, while practical sessions are conducted in course-specific specialised laboratories. Admission Procedure
Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology Rajahmundry offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses under the branches of B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and MBA.
For admission into B.Tech courses, candidates must 10+2 with science stream and qualify either of the following- All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE),Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), or Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).
For admission into M. Tech, candidates must complete their B.Tech in relevant stream and qualify either of the following- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Engineering Entrance Test (AP PGECET).
For admission into MBA Candidates must complete their bachelor's degree and qualify the required entrance exam.
