Future Institute of Technology (FIT), Kolkata was founded in 2014 with an objective to impart quality education in various fields of Engineering and Management. They aim at providing enough skilled human resources for betterment of the society. FIT Kolkata is a co-ed institution which offers various undergraduate courses like B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Internet of Things and Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, Computer Science and Engineering (AI and ML), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The admission process at FIT Kolkata is done online. To be eligible to take admission in the college students are required to clear their 10+2 school leaving examination mandatorily. The entrance exams through which students can get admitted are Joint Entrance Examination (Main), and West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).
With an aim to encourage students, FIT Kolkata offers a traditional library as well as a digital library, smart classrooms, and on-campus Wi-Fi access. To enhance practical knowledge, students are provided with well-equipped department specific labs. Other major facilities provided by FIT Kolkata are separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, 3 auditoriums, a well-equipped gym, indoor and outdoor sports amenities, a medical team, and a cafeteria for providing nutritious food.
