Established in 2013, Footwear Design and Development Institute, Jodhpur (FDDI Jodhpur) is the seventh campus of the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) whose foundational stone was laid by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The skilled faculty of the institute provides exceptional support and guidance to the students to excel in their chosen career pathways.

At present Footwear Design and Development Institute, Jodhpur offers undergraduate courses in Footwear Design and Production and Fashion Design. The FDDI conducts online admission. Students willing to take admission are firstly required to submit an online application for the FDDI All India Selection Test (FDDI-AIST). FDDI Jodhpur also provides the students with a chance to apply for scholarships given by the government.

Well-known organizations like Adidas, Apparel Group-Dubai, AVT, Bata India Ltd., Carlton London, Clarks, Da-Milano, Farida Group, Future Group, Gaurav Gupta, Genesis Luxury, Globes, H&M, Hi-Design, Khadims, Landmark, Liberty, Lifestyle, Li & Fung, Marks & Spencers, Max Lifestyle, and Puma recruit students from the campus.

To provide authentic information to students, the library at Footwear Design and Development Institute, Jodhpur features books from reputed publishing houses. Additionally, air-conditioned course-specific laboratories are also available for the students. Air-conditioned classrooms to provide a peaceful learning environment to students are a distinct part of the FDDI Jodhpur campus. Furthermore, an auditorium and amphitheatre are also present within the vicinity. A building for accommodating boys and girls with all necessary amenities is provided by FDDI Jodhpur. Furthermore, a design studio is also accessible to the students.

Admission Procedure

Footwear Design and Development Institute, Jodhpur offers two undergraduate courses in design (B.Des). All candidates for undergraduate admissions must submit an online application for the FDDI All India Selection Test (FDDI-AIST), followed by counselling. Each and every qualified applicant would need to pass a test (Paper Based Test) given by FDDI. Only English will be used as the test's medium. All qualified candidates must appear at the examination centres they select for the written entrance examination in the city of their choice. The written admission exam aims to evaluate candidates' knowledge, aptitude, and suitability for the chosen program. 

Faculty

The faculty at Footwear Design and Development Institute, Jodhpur is skilled and experienced, which motivates students to achieve their best potential. In association with Academia, R & D, and practising staff, the faculty creates printed self-educational materials. Through collaboration with the faculty members on diverse real-world projects, students develop their skills and knowledge while learning essential information about design applications and market dynamics. The professors have training from some of the top fashion schools in the world as well as from FDDI, bringing to the classroom their professional skills, extensive exposure, and years of practical experience.

All Footwear Design and Development Institute campuses participate in a centralized campus placement procedure run by the FDDI, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The Institute's students receive important career counselling and guidance from the Corporate and Public Relations Department. Scholarships

According to the procedures and qualifying requirements, students from all Footwear Design and Development Institute campuses are eligible to apply for scholarships given by government (central and state) agencies.There are no scholarships available from FDDI, however they process and forward the scholarship applications of the eligible students to the applicable agencies.
