Fakir Chand College (FCC), Diamond Harbour was established in 1948. As a memorial of his father, local businessman Sri Jagadish Chandra Halder founded FCC, Diamond Harbour.
FCC, Diamond Harbour presently offers 19 undergraduate (General as well as Honours) courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce, and a B. Ed. and postgraduate courses in M.A., M.Sc., and M.Com. courses in Bengali, History, Education, Pure Mathematics, and Commerce. Com is the marks obtained in 12th should be a minimum of 50% in aggregate and 45% in the subject in which the candidate wants to apply for Honours. Eligibility criteria for PG courses or Master’s degree, M.A., M. Sc., M. Com. candidates need to have passed a bachelor’s degree in the concerned or related subject.

To be eligible for B.Ed course, candidates must pass in either of Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% in aggregate.
