The examination pattern is divided into two patterns. One examination pattern is for PCM candidates and another for PCB candidates.
The examination pattern for PCM candidates are:

Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

Medium of Examination: English/ Hindi/ Marathi/ Urdu, but for Mathematics, it can be only attempted in Urdu.

Number of Questions: 150 questions in total (50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer for Physics and Chemistry +2 marks for each correct answer for Mathematics.

No negative marking.

Time duration: 180 Minutes.
The examination pattern for the PCB candidates are:

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Medium of Examination: Marathi/English/Urdu.

Number of Questions: 200 questions in total (50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer for Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

No negative marking.
