Krea Aptitude Test (KAT) 2023 Syllabus

Students who submit the application with all the relevant documents may appear for the Krea Aptitude Test which comprises of five sections. The test measures skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, verbal ability, and numerical ability, as well as interests and attitudes toward higher education in these fields. 

Though Krea University has not yet proposed a stipulated syllabus for KAT 2023, the structure can be ideated in the following five sections:

  • Verbal Ability

  • Numerical Ability

  • Logical Reasoning

  • General Knowledge

  • Interest Inventory

 

What is KAT 2023 Syllabus?

A detailed breakdown of the syllabus for each section of the Krea Aptitude Test can be stressed in the following manner  

Subjects 

Topics 

Verbal Ability

  • Reading comprehension: This section assesses a candidate's ability to read and comprehend written text. Candidates will be asked to read passages on a variety of topics and answer questions based on them. The passages may be from sources such as fiction and non-fiction books, newspapers, and magazines. Questions may cover topics such as the main idea, the author's tone, supporting evidence, and inference.  
  • Vocabulary: This section assesses a candidate's knowledge of words and their meanings. Candidates will be asked to identify synonyms, antonyms, and analogies, and fill in the blank type questions. This section may also test a candidate's knowledge of idioms and phrasal verbs.  
  • Grammar: This section assesses a candidate's knowledge of English grammar. Candidates will be asked to identify errors in sentences, correct errors, and complete sentences with appropriate words.

Quantitative Ability

  • Arithmetic: This section assesses a candidate's ability to solve problems involving basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Candidates will also be tested on topics such as percentages, ratios and proportions, and averages.  
  • Algebra: This section assesses a candidate's ability to solve problems involving algebraic equations and inequalities. Candidates will also be tested on topics such as functions and graphs.
  • Geometry: This section assesses a candidate's knowledge of basic geometric concepts such as lines, angles, triangles, and circles. Candidates will also be tested on topics such as areas and volumes.  
  • Basic calculus: This section assesses a candidate's knowledge of basic calculus concepts such as limits, derivatives, and integrals. Candidates will also be tested on topics such as rates of change and optimization.  

Logical Reasoning

  • Deductive reasoning: This section assesses a candidate's ability to draw conclusions based on a set of given statements or premises. Candidates will be asked to identify valid and invalid conclusions.  
  • Inductive reasoning: This section assesses a candidate's ability to make generalizations based on specific examples or observations. Candidates will be asked to identify patterns and predict outcomes.  
  • Data interpretation: This section assesses a candidate's ability to interpret data from tables, graphs, and charts. Candidates will be asked to answer questions based on the data provided.  
  • Analytical reasoning: This section assesses a candidate's ability to identify patterns and relationships among different elements. Candidates will be asked to solve problems involving logic puzzles, syllogisms, and seating arrangements.
