Each question in the verbal ability segment is worth 1.25 points. This portion evaluates the candidate's proficiency in English grammar, vocabulary, and usage as well as their reading and writing skills. Each question in the quantitative ability area of the test is worth 1.5 points. The questions for quantitative ability cover a variety of high school-level mathematical themes. The Reasoning section's questions are each worth two points. The questions come from both logical and analytical reasoning. While logical reasoning problems involve brief arguments and questions that may be asked to determine the viability of the argument or to reach a conclusion based on a set of hypotheses, analytical reasoning problems test a student's capacity to analyze relationships.
