COMEDK UGET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

 

For appearing in the COMEDK UGET the candidates must have certain criteria for eligibility. The eligibility criteria are:

  • The candidate must have passed the second PUC exam, the 10+2 Higher Secondary exam, or an exam of an equivalent level that has been approved by the state or federal government.

  • General Merit candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in Karnataka).

  • Since lateral entry admissions are not allowed, diploma students are not permitted to take the exam.

  • For being eligible for the B.Tech programme in Biotechnology a candidate should have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required subjects, along with one additional subject from any of the other subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics.

  • Candidates for the B.Arch degree must have passed the 10+2 higher secondary (or equivalent) exam or the second PUC. Candidates who hold a 10+3 diploma may also apply for the exam.

  • All applicants for the Architecture programme must take mathematics as a required subject.

  • Candidates for general merit must have a minimum combined score of 50% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates from Karnataka). Holders of diploma degrees must have a minimum of 50% overall (45% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates in Karnataka) with mathematics as a required subject.

  • Candidates for the B.Arch. degree are exempt from appearing in COMEDK UGET 2024. But they had to have taken either JEE Paper 2 or the NATA, the National Aptitude Test in Architecture, in 2024. The candidate must receive at least the qualifying marks in the aggregate as well as the cut-off marks in each of the two individual NATA components to qualify.

  • There won't be an entrance exam given by COMEDK to those applying for the B. Arch course.

  • According to the announcement on the COMEDK website, candidates seeking admission to the B. Arch course must submit a separate application form for counselling (which will be made available before counselling). Candidates who are only interested in the architecture programme do not need to complete the online application for the engineering entrance exam.
