Dwarka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Chennai (DDGDVC, Chennai) is a linguistic minority institution founded in 1964 by the Rajasthanis and Gujrattled is in Chennai for the purpose of higher education. On June 30, 1964, DDGDVC, Chennai which was founded with the express intention of providing knowledge and values-based education, celebrated its grand opening by offering a B.Sc. in Mathematics programme under the leadership of Shri Totadri Iyengar, a former student of Dr. APJ Abou Yoom. DDGDVC, Chennai was established in accordance with Vaishnovem ideals with the sole objective of educating young people with a strong emphasis on values.DDGDVC, Chennai is one of five in the city to have been designated as a CPE - College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC, which has aided in the development of the current infrastructure.
