Dumkal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Murshidabad is situated on a sprawling campus spanning 26 acres area in a lush green and pollution-free environment at Dumkal, Murshidabad.
DIET Murshidabad houses spacious and well-equipped classrooms and seminar halls to impart a high quality of education. The central library was established in 2001 and has expanded its reach since then to include an expansive variety of books and reading materials. The library houses more than 20500 books, 47 national journals, and 26 international journals. The central library operated from 7 AM to 7 PM. The library also comprises digital library facilities acting as a repository of digital resources such as the online version of the ASTM digital library, CDs, cassettes, and DVDs on various subjects and thematic regions and subscriptions to a variety of e-journals, some of which include the All Society Periodicals e-Package (IEEE), Springer, McGraw Hill, J-gate, and Elsevier.
The campus also houses state-of-the-art laboratories with cutting-edge technologies to impart practical education to students. Lab facilities on campus include a computer lab, a language lab and various course-based labs. DIET Murshidabad offers a well-planned sports infrastructure on campus to ensure the physical well-being and holistic development of its students. Sports facilities on the DIET campus include a playground for outdoor sports like football, cricket, and volleyball, one basketball court, and one badminton court. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls which are equipped with facilities for indoor games such as table tennis, carrom, chess, and chinese checkers. There is also an indoor gymnasium on campus.
DIET Murshidabad is a residential campus that houses four hostels for boys - Tagore Hall, Simanta Gandhi Hall, Vidyasagar Hall, and Azad Hall- and one hostel for girls- Rokeya Hall. There is also a guest house facility on the DIET Murshidabad campus to accommodate visiting faculty like eminent professors and invited lecturers. There is a cafeteria available on campus serving hygienic and sumptuous food to students.
The health centre is equipped to address any medical emergencies within the DIET Murshidabad premises. Other facilities offered on campus include ATM and banking facilities, a post office, a backup power supply, reprographic facilities and a fire extinguisher.
