Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (DRMLNLU Lucknow) was established in the year 2005 to impart to students and academic researchers a sense of responsibility to serve society in the legal field by providing advocacy training and judicial and other legal services.
With excellent faculty members at the DRMLNLU Lucknow with immense experience and knowledge, students are bound to flourish in their chosen fields. It is an autonomous law university which is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers B.A. LLB(Hons), and LL.M along with Ph.D in Law and Humanities. Students who are seeking admission must qualify for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and the selection will be made on academic merit. Scholarships are provided to students who belong to reserved categories.
The training and placement cell of DRMLNLU Lucknow provides in-depth training to students regarding corporate life. They help students in developing new skills & upgrading their knowledge to suit the current requirements in the corporate world. The internship is part of the curriculum and students are required to have an experience in as many internships as they can. Admission Procedure
Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow offers B.A LL.B (Hons.) course at the undergraduate level. The admission to this course is based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, to qualify for admission, the candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination, securing in aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks. The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination and are awaiting their results may also write the DRMLNLU Admission Test but their admission shall be subject to the fulfilment of the above requirement at the time of admission.
Additionally, DRMLNLU Lucknow offers one year LLM course and a PhD course. Performance on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will determine the admission to the LLM course. However, in order to be eligible for admission, the candidate must have earned at least 50% of the required marks or an equivalent grade in their LL.B. or a comparable degree from a recognised university. Candidates applying for the doctorate courses need to have a master's or equivalent degree from a UGC-recognized university and need to appear for the Research Entrance Test conducted by the university.
