Dr. R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata (DRADCH Kolkata) was established in the year 1920. Over the last few decades, DRADCH Kolkata has produced several remarkable graduates in the fields of dentistry and surgery. It is the country's first dental college.

The college faculty is extremely helpful and provides students with high-class education and knowledge to do better in their field. Dr. R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by the Dental Council of India. DRADCH Kolkata offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Master of Dental Surgery. To get admission into the college, students must qualify for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to be eligible for course.

DRADCH Kolkata provides a separate hostel for boys and girls along with a clinical facilities training centre at the Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital.

Admission Procedure

Dr. R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata is a state-run institution that is part of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). BDS is an undergraduate course offered by DRADCH Kolkata, with a total of 100 seats available, and a MDS course is also offered with a total of 26 seats. The application procedure is carried out in the offline mode. The application form and prospectus are available on the college campus. 

Admission to the both the BDS and MDS program is determined by the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG and NEET-MDS), which is followed by counselling. Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the qualifying examination and their ability to meet the course's minimum eligibility standards.
