Dr. N.G.P Arts and Science College, Coimbatore (NGPASC, Coimbatore) was founded by The Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust in 1997. NGPASC Coimbatore initiated its educational journey with four Undergraduate Programs and has since grown as one of the most important academies in self-financing institutions in Tamil Nadu, India. The UGC bestowed the college the status of autonomy in 2015-2016.
Affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Dr. N.G.P Arts and Science College, Coimbatore offers numerous bachelor's, master's, M. Phil and PhD courses alongside diplomas and value added courses. Currently 32 number of PG, 16 of PG, 25 of Research oriented M. Phil & PhD,4 og post graduate Diploma, 7 of Diploma, and 58 of the Value Added Courses are being offered in the academic program schedule. The university building comprises 32 departments that are equally holding good reputation. NGPASC Coimbatore is adorned with 7500 pupils bestowing whom there are 360+ highly experienced faculty members amongst which more than 200 hold doctorates in their own specialized fields. The university is dedicated towards providing the best quality education to its young disciples and to make them professionally prepared and properly trained for the industry to make them carve a niche in greater domains both locally and globally.
The NGPASC Coimbatore Training and Placement Cell manages to achieve more than 90% of placement every year followed by year-long various placement-oriented industry based and company specific training making the students get hired in reputed multinational companies. Besides the Training and Placement cell, the Career Guidance Cell and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell are also there to meet the students' needs. Students get a provision of different scholarships for performing well in their academics even the achievers in the field of sports are also offered with exciting scholarships. Every year more than 100 students are nominated and awarded with various scholarships.

Admission Procedure
Counseling will be used to determine admission to the Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College (NGPASC), Coimbatore, based on performance on the prerequisite exam. B.Ed. applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university as a minimum requirement. Candidates who are physically or visually impaired must have at least a passing grade in their degree to qualify. Candidates from the Open University System who have earned undergraduate or graduate degrees are ineligible to apply. The selection process will be carried out in compliance with the university's regulations and the government of Tamil Nadu's admission requirements for B.Ed.

The Placement Cell (TPC) of Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College, Coimbatore (NGPASC) focuses on making each and every student employable. The Training programs of NGPASC are geared toward the holistic development of students' technical, aptitude, and soft skill abilities. Students are evaluated using a special skill-based evaluation depending on their performance and knowledge levels. TPC Activities facilitate the overall development of the students grooming by providing a range of inputs like Personality Development, Group Discussion, Aptitude tests, Mock Interviews and Mock Tests. Many programs like Preparation Strategies for successful Interviews, Motivation and Personality Development, Time and Stress Management and Goal Settings have been organized by TPC for developing the skills of the students. Some of the recruiters who visit NGPASC are IBM, Amazon, Reliance, TCS, HP, Deloitte, HCL, Cognizant, Infosys and many more.
Scholarships
The management of NGPASC is generous in awarding scholarships to deserving students for their achievements in sports and academics. Students who apply for admission to NGPASC have their academic achievements in the school test taken into account, and depending on their achievements, they are awarded a Scholarship.
