Dr. DY Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune (DDYPIPSR Pune) started its holistic journey in 1994 as the first Pharmacy Institute in the Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune. DDYPIPSR Pune aspires to instruct and train students in the study of pharmaceutical sciences and guide them in their application, as well as to promote society's health through education and research initiatives being a leading body in pharmaceutical sciences research, training, and education.
DDYPIPSR Pune is approved by AICTE and all its courses are recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University DDYPIPSR Pune offers undergraduate postgraduate and research programs in pharmacy. The admission procedure is conducted in online mode and the selection procedure is held as per the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
DDYPIPSR Pune takes pride in boasting highly skilled and experienced faculties who strive rigorously in order to inculcate value-based education among the youths of tomorrow. The institution owns a Training and Placement Cell that provides generous guidance and support to the candidates in getting proper training. They assure the students to fulfill the requirement of 8 weeks of industrial training in the pharmaceutical sector. The Placement Cell makes sure that during their time in the B. Pharm and M. Pharm. programs, students are encouraged to explore their interests and pursue the right path to reach their desired goals. Admission Procedure
Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune follows an online method of admission. Applicants are selected based on their merit and eligibility. DDYPIPSR Pune offers Diploma, Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and Doctorate courses under the faculty of Pharmacy.
Aspiring Diploma applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects of Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology). Aspiring B.Pharm (Undergraduate) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks. Aspiring Undergraduate applicants must appear for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).
Selection of applicants is done based on marks and rank secured in the entrance examination. Aspiring Post Graduate (M.Pharm) applicants must have secured Bachelor's Degree (BPharm) from any recognized University. Aspiring Post Graduate applicants must appear for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). Selection of applicants is done based on marks and rank secured in the entrance examination. Aspiring Doctorate (Pharm D) applicants must have secured Masters (MPharm) degree from any recognized University. Aspiring Doctorate applicants must appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET). Selection of applicants is done based on marks and rank secured in the entrance examination.
