Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (DBRANIT) is a public technical university located in Jalandhar, Punjab. Established in 1986, it is a part of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. Under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, DBRANIT has been declared an Institute of National Importance.
The DBRANIT, Jalandhar provides 11 undergraduate courses with B.Tech degrees in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Information Technology, Textile Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
All admissions to DBRANIT, Jalandhar are screened through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Applicants are required to qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. After this, students are put through a counselling process. In order to be eligible for admission, applicants must have successfully completed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.

Admission Procedure
The Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the DBRANIT Jalandhar's cut-off to register for the appropriate course, followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
Applications for admission to the PhD programme will be accepted twice a year in the prescribed format. Candidates who hold master's degrees in a pertinent field are eligible to apply. Inspire Fellow, sponsored by an outside organisation as a full-time candidate, GATE/NET (JRF/LS), UGC (JRF/LS), JRF/LS), and other candidates must be shortlisted by Departmental. Centralized Counseling for M. Tech. The plan will be used to handle admissions to the Institute's M. Tech. programme. Several NITs collaborate to conduct admissions (CCMT). Candidate with a Master's degree in the related subject is eligible to apply for the M.Tech, Msc, and PGDM courses.
A bachelor's degree in any stream with a 60% average is required for the MBA programme. The Common Admission Test (CAT) / Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) / Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) / Management Aptitude Test (MAT) / Institute test (70% weightage), Group Discussion (15%), and Interview (15%) will all be taken into consideration when determining admissions.
