D. Y. Patil Educational Society, Kolhapur (DYPES Kolhapur), deemed to be a university, was founded in 2005 to honour the renowned educationist and philanthropist Dr D. Y. Patil, who was bestowed with the Padma Shree award. DYPES Kolhapur is sponsored by the D.Y. Patil Education Society and is established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. DYPES Kolhapur offers MBBS, B.SC, B.opt, B.Pth, M.SC, MD, DM, MP.TH, Diploma and PhD degrees in various specializations.

DYPES Kolhapur also offers a media room that is equipped with audio-visual aids to facilitate multimedia learning. DYPES Kolhapur also has a well-appointed conference room, which is used for various academic and administrative meetings. Admission Procedure

D. Y. Patil Educational Society, Kolhapur offers Undergraduate ( MBBS, B.SC, B.opt, B.Pth ) and Post-Graduate degrees ( M.SC, MD, DM, MP.TH)with various specializations. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their degree candidate must have basic admission criteria. For their MBBS, MD, and DM degrees candidates must qualify for an entrance examination National Entrance cum Entrance Test ( NEET). Final admission is based on merit basis.

DYPES Kolhapur also provides Diploma and PhD degrees in various specializations. For applying for their PhD degree candidate must qualify master's degree with 55% marks, and candidates must qualify for an entrance examination UGC-NET/NET/UGC-CSIR /SLET/GATE with valid marks.
