College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRIPMS), located in Coimbatore, was established in 1986 by M/s. S.N.R Sons Charitable Trust to promote Nursing Education of world-class standard. It is the first Self-Financing Nursing College in Tamil Nadu, India and completed its 36 years of excellence in nursing education. College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. It has been given accreditation by the Indian National Council (INC) and Tamil Nadu State Nurses and Midwives Council (TNSNMC). SRIPMS Coimbatore has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The undergraduate courses offered SRIPMS Coimbatore include the following Bachelors of Science in Nursing with a duration of 4 years and Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing for 2 years. To get admission to the B.Sc Nursing course, candidates are required to visit the official website and submit an online application. After the submission of the application, they have to appear for the entrance examination conducted by the college which decides the final selection. For the other courses at SRIPMS Coimbatore, admission is based on merit.

Admission Procedure
The basic admission procedure for most of the courses in the College of Nursing, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore is merit-based. For admission to the B.Sc in Nursing course, candidates have to sit for an entrance exam conducted by SRIPMS Coimbatore. Candidates can apply for admission by filling out the inquiry form on the official website.
Candidates can also apply for M.Sc in Nursing, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, and PhD in Nursing. The passing of a B.Sc. in Nursing, B.Sc. in Nursing (H), or Post-Basic B.Sc. in Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks is the minimum educational requirement for an M.Sc. course. The merit of the entrance exam administered by the university or other appropriate authority should be the basis for choosing the candidates. Candidates for the post-basic diploma in nursing must have at least one year of experience working as staff nurses.
