Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad, Alappuzha (CUCEK) was established in 1999 as a separate department of Cochin University of Science and Technology in. CUCEK, Alappuzha aims at imparting universal value-based education to its students and creating solution-based approaches to problems regarding rural society and working towards their upliftment. CUCEK, Alappuzha offers six 4 year undergraduate B.tech programs in Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and engineering along with a 2-year postgraduate course in Master of Computer Application. Candidates willing to apply CUCEK, Alappuzha must satisfy the minimum educational criteria of passing 10+2 with 50% in mathematics and 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates must appear for the CUSAT CAT exam, where a minimum of 10 marks each in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths is required for getting included in the admission list. Candidates willing to apply to the MCA programme must pass BCA/ Bachelor degree in computer science engineering or they must graduate B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc with mathematics in 10+2 or graduate level. A rank list created on the basis of marks obtained in CUSAT CAT determines admission into the MCA program.
