Calcutta Girls’ College, Kolkata (CGC, Kolkata), was established in 1963 with the aim of encouraging young women to improve their academic performance, gain self-reliance, and become aware of their meaningful role in society.

Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated to the University of Calcutta, CGC, Kolkata offers 49 undergraduate (UG) courses for students to pursue. The UG courses offer the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). Admission to all the courses at CGC, Kolkata takes place online. The dedicated faculty at CGC, Kolkata works tirelessly to provide quality education and prepare students for a brighter future.

Admission Procedure

Calcutta Girls' College, Kolkata offers B.A, B.A(H), B.Com, B.Com(H), and B.Sc(H) degrees. For UG admission at CGC, Kolkata, applicants must have passed the HSC (10+2) exam or an exam of similar standing from any board. The whole admissions procedure will be done online. The admission process will be carried out in accordance with the University of Calcutta's and the West Bengal government's Department of Higher Education's guidelines.
