B.P. Poddar and Parvati Devi College of Nursing (BPPPAN), Kolkata was started to promote nursing education and research among students. Admission to the bachelor’s degree course in General midwifery requires a student to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination along with the merits secured in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

Admission Procedure

B.P. Poddar and Parvati Devi College of Nursing (BPPPAN), Kolkata conducts its admission process according to the guidelines of the West Bengal University of Health Science. For admissions, in the B.Sc nursing and GNM nursing courses interested candidates can apply through the official website of the institute.  The admissions for the B.Sc Nursing course is granted according to the merits secured by a candidate in the 10+2 examinations along with the marks secured in the Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Under Graduate Courses (JENPAS- UG). The admissions for the General Nursing Midwife courses are made according to the merits secured by a candidate in their 10+2 examination along with their merits secured in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination.

BPPPAN, Kolkata also provides a GNM nursing degree. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their programme candidate must complete basic admission criteria. For their GNM degree candidate must qualify for an entrance examination West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB-JEE) with valid marks.
