In 1974, the University of Mysore set up the Department of Studies in Business Administration (DOSBA), marking a great leap forward in 2002 when Dr. B.N. Bahadur, an alumnus of the University and President of the B.N. Bahadur Family Foundation of Michigan, U.S.A., made a generous donation. Together with contributions from the University, this enabled the establishment of the B.N. Bahadur Institute of Management Science, Mysore (BNBIMS Mysore), located at the northern edge of “Manasagangothri”. BNBIMS Mysore is approved by AICTE.

BNBIMS Mysore offers an MBA degree and a Ph.D degree. BNBIMS Mysore follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

Admission Procedure

For MBA admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree from any university. The final admission will be based on the score obtained in PGCET Entrance Test which is conducted by KEA. For Ph.D admission, candidates must complete a master's degree/diploma from any university and are required to pass the entrance examination conducted by the University of Mysore. Individuals who have achieved eligibility for UGC/CSIR/JRF Fellowships passed the UGC/CSIR NET Examination/K-SET/GATE, or are Government/ Aided College Teachers under FIP, are exempted from the entrance exam, and after confirming their eligibility, they can apply for provisional registration by visiting a guide in the field of their interest.
