Bishop’s College, Kolkata (BC, Kolkata) was founded for the first time in 1820 in Botanical Gardens, Sibpur by Bishop Thomas Middleton. BC, Kolkata was an Arts and Science college that was to educate and inculcate candidates in priesthood and catechism. BC, Kolkata later got shifted to Beckbagan in Kolkata in 1833.
