Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore (BACAS Coimbatore) was founded in honour of the first Indian Bishop of Coimbatore Diocese, Rt. Rev. A.J. Appasamy. As a spiritual leader, he revitalized the Church of South India, Coimbatore Diocese and is fondly remembered as a visionary. BACAS Coimbatore was established by the Diocese of Coimbatore on September 11, 1995, to provide quality education for the younger generation and equip them with career opportunities to contribute to national and global development. Located in the heart of Coimbatore city with easy access via rail and road networks, BACAS Coimbatore is affiliated with Bharatiar University and accredited by AICTE and UGC.
