Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna (BASU Patna) has been established in accordance with an act of Bihar State and is headquartered in Patna. BASU Patna commenced operations on June 13, 2017. BASU Patna was created by separating the Bihar Veterinary College and Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology from Bihar Agricultural University and transferring them to BASU Patna. BASU Patna is recognized by the UGC and VCI.
