Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Lucknow (BSP Lucknow) was established in 1983 by a group of respected jurists, educationists, and social activists with the aim of improving education in a wider area. The Uttar Pradesh government legally registered BSP Lucknow on 24th September 1984, under file number 7231 (M) and registration number 821, to promote and develop distance education using the Open Continuous and Distance Education System. BSP Lucknow falls under the SR Act 21-1860 and is recognized by the Government of India as a legal autonomous non-profit institution with the constitutional right to provide teaching and training. BSP Lucknow is approved by UGC.
