Bengal Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), Birbhum was established in 2001 under the umbrella of the Camellia Group.
BITM offers modern professional degrees with excellence in multidisciplinary modules on a scenic campus of more than sixty acres. BITM is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
BITM Birbhum offers 3 diploma (DIP), 10 undergraduate (UG), and 5 postgraduate (PG) courses. The diploma courses are in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Hotel Management. The UG courses that can be pursued at BITM,Birbhum are Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Information Technology; Bachelor in Computer Application; Bachelor of Business Administration; Bachelor of Hotel Management; and Bachelor of Legislative Law. The 5 PG courses that are offered are Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering; Master in Computer Applications; and Master of Business Administration. Admission to the various courses is overseen by the Admission Cell of the BITM,Birbhum.

Regular recruitment drives are organised by the Training and Placement Cell, which invites organisations such as IBM, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Indian Navy, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, and many more to participate.
BITM Birbhum strives to provide modern infrastructural facilities for the overall development of the students. The Central Library of BITM Birbhum houses over 26000 books as well as 250 national and international journals, as well as subscribes to 82 magazines covering both the engineering and management streams, along with major dailies and newsletters. The Library also has a software-based networking system with access to academic e-publications. There is a separate Book Bank facility at BITM Birbhum with a resource pool of almost 15000 books. BITM Birbhum accommodates male and female students in separate hostels with provisions for 400 boys and 300 girls. The hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, common rooms and sports facilities along with round-the-clock security. BITM Birbhum stresses on the necessity of including sports in the daily life of the students for their holistic development, and has facilities for football, cricket, lawn tennis, volleyball, badminton, carrom, chess, and table tennis. The spacious classrooms at the BITM Birbhum are equipped with multimedia technology.
BITM,Birbhum provides several course-specific laboratories with cutting-edge infrastructure as well as multiple workshops to aid the students to gain practical experiences based on the theoretical knowledge they acquire. BITM Birbhum has several cafeterias and canteens, a free dispensary, and a round-the-clock ambulance service in case of emergencies. Additionally, BITM Birbhum provides ATM facilities through UCO Bank, postal services, shuttle service, as well as 24-hours power backup through a high-tension power supply facility.

Admission Procedure
Admission to Bengal Institute of Technology and Management, Birbhum is overseen by the Admission Cell of the Institute. For B.Tech admission, the candidates (co-ed) must have passed 10+2 board examinations from a recognized board or council in India fulfilling the eligibility criteria as well as securing a valid rank in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) and Joint Entrance Examinations Mains (JEE Mains). The candidates must contact the Admission Cell through their online portal or contact numbers available on their website. For BBA, BCA, LLB, BHM admissions, eligible candidates need to contact the Admission Cell of the BITM through their online portal or contact numbers available on their website. For Diploma admission (Engineering), eligible candidates who have secured a rank in Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO) are provided a seat through Counselling Quota and are aided by the Admission Cell of the BITM. Direct admission is also available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. For Diploma admission (Hotel Management), eligible candidates must appear for a written test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
