Admission Procedure
Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot conducts its admission procedure according to the guidelines of the Visveswaraiah Technological University along with the admission guidelines of the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in applying at BEC Bagalkot can apply through the official website of the institute. The admissions for the undergraduate degree courses are based upon the merits secured by the applicants in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in PCM, along with the merits secured by the applicants in the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) examination or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) examination or Common Entrance Test (CET).
For the students applying for postgraduate degree courses, the selection of the applicants is made upon the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree courses in the relevant discipline of science and engineering from a recognized university. Along with the merits secured by the applicants in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination or Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). The selection of the applicants for the doctoral degree courses is made upon the merits secured by the applicants in their postgraduate degree courses from a recognized university.
