Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) situated in Bangalore, Karnataka has been established in 1971. BMCRI is affiliated with Delhi University, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, and the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science. Initially, BMCRI was established under the Mysore Education Society as a private school in 1955.

The degrees offered by the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute are B.Sc, M.Sc, MS, MD, and MBBS. Paramedical, Medical Science, Pharmacy, and Dental are the popular streams that are offered among other courses. Currently, BMCRI has five reputed hospitals attached to its name. They are Victoria Hospital, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, PradhanMantriSwasthya Suraksha Yojana Super Speciality Hospital, and Trauma and Emergency Care Centre and, Vani Vilas Women and Children’s Hospital.

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission to the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, the students have to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), which is required for the MBBS course. The admissions are merit-based. BMCRI is a co-ed institution.

BMCRI Bangalore also offers postgraduate ( MD / MS ) degrees and super speciality ( DM / Mch) degrees. Interested candidates must apply through their official website. To apply for their PG and SS programs candidates must qualify for an entrance examination National Eligibility Entrance Test ( PG / SS). Final admission is based on a merit. basis
