Bagnan College (BC), Howrah was established in 1958, and functions in three shifts- Morning, Day and Evening. Among the three, the Morning shift is exclusively for girls where subjects from the stream of Humanities (General) are taught.
Well connected by the Bagnan Railway Station and National Highway No. 6, BC, Howrah is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. Students can pursue 28 undergraduate (UG) courses at BC, Howrah, for the degrees of bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com).
