A.V.C. College of Engineering, Nagapattinam (AVCCE Nagapattinam) had its inception in 1996 by the A. V. Charities to provide higher technical education to the students living in Nagai District. It is affiliated with Anna University, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE] and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The AVCCE Nagapattinam covers more than 30 acres of land in an evergreen atmosphere. It exerts all kinds of stateof- the-art infrastructure through its astounding Wi-Fi enabled campus. The students are facilitated with enormous, useful collections in both their physical and online library. It has latest technological advancements in each department laboratories, the computer laboratories contain more than 800 systems of the latest configuration. The classrooms, auditorium, and seminar halls are spacious and aided with modern attainments to complete the arc of sustainable learning experience. It has superlative tech-based facilities like biogas plants, 160 and 500-KVA diesel generators, water treatment plant, etc. Sports facilities are also available in the campus at the grounds of football, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, etc.

AVCCE Nagapattinam currently offers 7 undergraduate course with Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in different branches of engineering like Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc; 5 postgraduate courses with Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in specialisations options e.g. Energy Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Applied Electronics, etc; Master of Business Administrations (MBA); Master of Computer Applications (MCA); Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology, and Software Engineering (5 Years Integrated Programme). Scholars may consider enrolling themselves in the doctoral courses as well through Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering and Information and Communication Engineering & Chemistry.

Admission Procedure

A.V.C. College of Engineering, Nagapattinam conducts its admission procedure according to the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in seeking admission at the esteemed AVCCE Nagapattinam can apply through the university's admission department. The admissions for the undergraduate courses (B.E) are made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board in the relevant subject discipline. The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses in Master of Engineering (M.E) is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate courses in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university. For the doctoral degree courses (Ph.D.) in in Information and Communication Engineering & Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering, the selection of the applicants is made according to the merits secured by the applicants in the postgraduate degree course or M.Phil degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university.
