When you're a student, books are your constant companions. Life for a student is incomplete without books. At the Assam Don Bosco University, we're guided by the principle to make education easily accessible to students and books are at the heart of all academic learning.

We've set up a book store for our students at the DBCET campus, so they can be saved the hassle of venturing out to find the books they need. Not only is it convenient for students to purchase books from the on campus store, but it also helps them cut costs.

The 'DBCET Book Cafe,' as we like to call it, offers use and new text books, general books, professional reference books in addition to buy back and rental facilities to students. The cafe provides a quiet corner where students can browse through a variety of relevant titles.

All reprographic and printing facilities as well as binding and laminating etc. are taken care of at the printing corner.

In addition to the Book Cafe, the Assam Don Bosco University boasts of an on campus student store where various stationary items and other student necessities are available at reasonable rates. It also serves as a departmental store and all ADBU students are free to avail its facilities and purchase a wide range of supplies from here

The Tapesia Campus (main campus), nestled in the serene Tapesia Gardens, off National Highway 37, is spread over 300 acres of undulating hills. A state-of-the-art campus with a capacity to house 5000 students and staff, an uplifting confluence of natural beauty and architectural excellence, currently houses the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Applied Sciences and Life Sciences

The Azara Campus, off the Airport Road, set in an environment of beautifully laid out gardens and lush green lawns houses the School of Technology

A window to the world of latest information in science, engineering, technology, management, humanities & social sciences. The Library with its modern collection of knowledge resources and innovative information services provides necessary supports for teaching, learning, research activities of the University by creating state-of-the-art facilities to the academic community. Scientific education has two main flavors. First is theory where you learn how things work and the second is practical work where you actually put the theories you've learned to practice. Practical experience, therefore, plays a key role in sciences, engineering, technology and media education. Students of these disciplines learn as much from their classroom courses (if not more) as they do through practical works.

At Assam Don Bosco University, we understand the importance of introducing students to live lab experience. Our state-of-the-art science laboratories house all the necessary apparatus and equipment that students require to conduct successful experiments

Thanks to the massive growth of technology, the world has truly become a global village today. Technology has blurred geographical boundaries and brought people closer than ever before.

At a time when information from one part of the planet travels to another in a matter of seconds; at a time when answers to the toughest questions are simply a Google search away; at a time when people use their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter status messages to connect with their loved ones; at a time when the benefits of technology are there for everyone to see and enjoy, how can we remain outside the scope of this revolution?

A college cafeteria is more than a place that serves lip-smacking snacks and refreshing drinks to students. Ask any college graduate about his or her fondest on-campus memories and chances are that most of them involve the cafeteria in some way or the other.

Cafeteria is that one place in an otherwise strictly academic and disciplined environment of a college where students are allowed to let go. It's a place where lifelong bonds are formed over steaming cups of coffee; where ideas to change the world are exchanged; where ideals meet reality; where guitar-playing skills are honed and perfected; where football strategies are discussed and decided.

A cafeteria is a happy place reverberating with carefree laughter, friendly banter, animated conversations, and frenzied activity!

We also have a sports club aimed at finding and harnessing talented sportspersons among our students. The university holds annual sports events and participates in various inter-college tournaments in a wide range of sports including track and field

We've also made provisions for music and spiritual healing in addition to forming literary, music & dance, dramatics and arts & crafts clubs for students to engage in activities they enjoy and feel passionate about.

A university is known as much for its educational standards and values as for the facilities it offers its students. At the Assam Don Bosco University, it is our constant endeavour to offer all the amenities and services that make life a little bit easier for our students.

We provide safe, clean, comfortable, reliable and economical transport services to address the need of our students to travel between campus and the city of Guwahati. We have employed a fleet of chartered buses that ply between the city and our campuses. In addition to these chartered buses, we also employ official cars to cater to destinations in and around the city of Guwahati. Our transport services can also be used by our faculty and staff.

In addition to the university transport service, frequent city buses and Trekker taxis ply between Guwahati City and our campuses

At the Assam Don Bosco University, we understand that when parents send their precious child to us, they are entrusing us with more than his or her education. They are handing over the responsibility of ensuring their child's health, happiness and wellbeing to us.

We're not the ones to take this responsibility lightly and that's why we give paramount importance to the health of our students. We take all the necessary measures to ensure that best of healthcare is provided to our students on campus. In addition to comprehensive health services in house, we arrange for visits to hospitals and healthcare centers outside the campus if the need ever arises

We go out of our way to make sure we're prepared to handle any health-related problems our students may face. A qualified nurse is present on campus during college hours to cater to any first aid or emergency care needs.

In the event of serious illness or injury, an ambulance stationed at the college is pressed into action immediately to transfer the affected person/s to the nearest healthcare center for professional medical treatment.

Guided by the motto of "a healthy mind in a health body," we take proactive measures to ensure our students are in the best of health at all times. Annual medical camps to provide free eye, dental, ENT and general check-ups are conducted on campus. The university also holds life-saver and lifestyle management programs to inculcate healthy living among its students.

In addition to that, we maintain individual health records that can be used for ready reference should one of our students ever require it.

Safety is another facet of campus life that is taken very seriously at ADBU. We exercise extreme caution to ensure that complications due to carelessness, negligence or mishandling in class, lab, gym, hostel, field, or anywhere else on campus do not arise.

Parents can rest assured that their child is in safe hands at ADBU

College marks the coming of age for many students. With college, students learn to take their first tentative steps into adulthood. It's their first brush with living life on their own and it comes with its own set of perks and drawbacks.

The Assam Don Bosco University understands how being away from home can affect the mental and physical wellbeing of students. We understand how overwhelming it can be to leave everything familiar and live in a strange environment surrounded by hundreds of strange people.

We make every effort in providing our students with convenient residential options. All our efforts are directed towards giving our students a home away from home and making their stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

The Assam Don Bosco University offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. These well furnished hostels are available to students of all the campuses – Tapesia, Azara and Kharguli

Carreno Hall

This boy's hostel is managed and run exclusively for DBCET students by Don Bosco Society, Azara. It is located just behind the college campus and has a separate compund of its own.

Ferrando Hall

This hostel for girls is managed and run exclusively for DBCET students by Ferrando Developmental Educational Welfare Society. It is located half a kilometer from the college campus and has a walled compound of its own

There is more to education than academics. Education is as much about acquiring the knowledge and learning the skills that would allow people to move forward in life and taste professional success as it is about becoming better human beings.

At the Assam Don Bosco University, we strive to make our graduates more than academic achievers. We want them to become dependable human beings. We envision our students as cultured, competent, knowledgeable, broadminded, and committed to society – “educated” in every sense of the term.

Our campus ministry program was established primarily to foster religious life on campus. In addition to promoting God orientation among students, the programme takes care of personality development, provides personal counselling, ensures student participation in group and social activities, and coordinates with the placement cell to groom students for their future careers.

Our aim is to provide students with all the tools and knowledge necessary for coping with the ever- evolving demands of an increasingly complex world without losing their inner peace and inherent goodness.

Eventually, we want the programme to evolve into a full-fledged department that will teach, train and animate youth leaders as well as conduct research on youth issues and offer scientifically planned outreach programmes for young people across North East India

Sports and music are an integral part of life in the North East. It is what makes this part of the country so special. Strumming a guitar and tackling a football are things that kids here grow up with and take to quite naturally.

Carrying this legacy forward, the Assam Don Bosco University offers its students ample opportunities to take part in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities where they can demonstrate their musical, sporting and other talents

Our objective is to provide our students with a platform to showcase their craft as well as find new talents, but also to promote social interaction and awareness among them.

The university boasts of a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricual student clubs. The Don Bosco College of Engineering and Technology (DBCET) runs a number of co-curricular clubs such as Coding Club, Web Designing Club, Circuitronics Club, Robotics Club and Basic Sciences. These clubs conduct activities and competitions to hone the technical skills of the students

On the other hand, DBCET’s sports club, literary club, music and dance clubs, dramatics club (Rangayan) and the arts and crafts club are aimed at developing the extra-curricular talents of its students.

The Don Bosco Institute of Management (DBIM) promotes the clubs “Prajjwal”, “Reflectivz”and “Ascenders,” which encourage a variety of activities including promotion of corporate social responsibility, enhancement of knowledge, skills and creativity.

Students at both DBCET and DBIM are encouraged to become members of the clubs according to their interest and inclinations and participate in its activities.

The university hosts an annual festival where students can take part in a number of musical, dramatic, and other events. Students will also get a chance to represent the university in cultural and social events organized by other institutions.

The university encourages student participation in sports tournaments at both intra and inter-college level. Additionally, various community services like road cleaning, food for the hungry, and teaching hygiene and grooming to the socially disadvantaged are organized by the university from time to time. Students are expected to play an active role in these initiatives.

The university also takes out two publications called CREAZONE and BRAHMAPUTRA, which provide expression to the literary and creative talents of its students. CREAZONE is an annual college journal published by DBCET, while BRAHMAPUTRA is a six-monthly business magazine published by DBIM
